Bard Circle 21 March 22 (OOC)

This Bard Circle saw us doing not one, but TWO imrovs!

The first had a theme of “Cows”

Jezebelle Queen:

Running round on clumsy hooves
The happy cows pass by
Showing off their fastest moo-ves
And loudest lowing cries.

The cows ran round the dairy pen
And made the hilltops quake
Stampeding round the grassy glen
And making fresh milk shakes

The cows did race, in gathered host
To be the very fastest
But the cow the farmers liked the most
Is the one who filled more glasses!

Julala

oh Gertrude Gertrude why hast thou nine tails?
Gertrude looked up from her grazing to see who had hailed
She blinked…and blinked again
her attempts to hide her tails ….had clearly failed!

It was a story with much shame for Gertrude
a story that started when she was just a little mooooo
She had swished her tail on a magic wisp you see
and the wisp had splatted into a patch of goo

When the mother wisp heard of what Gertrude had done
She was so angry with her she could have finished her with a gun
but no….instead she put a curse on poor Gertrude
and never again would Gertrude’s tail be one

And now poor Gertrude she carries the shame
and earned herself a fitting new name
For now Gertrude “the mutant cow”
will simply never be the same.

Humormii:

Mildred meandered morosely in the meadow, munching milkweed. She murmured,”mean miscreant magpies make my moo meager.” She menaced, but merely managed to make moose ‘member her marbles by the milk pail.

The second improve had a theme of “Photographs”

NeoRaiden:

in a world of darkness and tones of gray
spark a light and give color a way
to freeze time in the moment for all time to see
it is as easy as one snap from you or from me

Jezebelle Queen:

A picture’s worth a thousand words
Though that amount can vary
The amount of pictures Neo’s done
Could fill a dictionary!

From setting sun to wiggle day
His works capture the life and light
Of all the taurs and our happy home
Reminding us of all the sights

Without our Neo all our deeds
Would fade out into memory grey
All the life and color they had
Would end up washed away

Your work has brought us warmth and joy,
So thanks, our little friend
We hope your smiles and friendship both
Shall ne’er come to an end.

julala:

Jonathon Longthorn was a bit of a scholar
He was instrumental is creating a formula
He discovered if you cross a centaur with a shrew
the result is rather a surprising brew

A long snout but short scurrying legs
Big ears and the longest tail
But hooves of course and a human head
and the voice so quiet it has been said

What nonsense I hear you say
Not such a thing exists
but wait I can prove it I say
*shows you a photo* there clear as day!

Wait…you say…this is not a shrewtaur!
This is simply a weird lad with a long nose and big ears!
ah I say…but you can’t see his feet….
but this evidence really, it’s quite concrete.

Nay, you say, tiz waffle for sure
whatever I retort I can not convince you more
but wait till the sun sets and the night falls
then you will hear the tip tap of the shrewtaur!

Humormii:

“Photographs and Memories” a song recorded by Jim Croce in 1973 and released after his death the next year in September 1974.

Photographs and memories
Christmas cards you sent to me
All that I have are these
To remember you

Memories that come at night
Take me to another time
Back to a happier day
When I called you mine

But we sure had a good time
When we started way back when
Morning walks and bedroom talks
Oh how I loved you then

Summer skies and lullabies
Nights we couldn’t say good-bye
And of all of the things that we knew
Not a dream survived

Photographs and memories
All the love you gave to me
Somehow it just can’t be true
That’s all I’ve left of you

But we sure had a good time
When we started way back when
Morning walks and bedroom talks
Oh how I loved you then
